We are delighted to report that a highly successful visit to Cosne cour-sur-Loire took place for four days in May this year.
Most of our group led by Kristina and Bernadette took the Eurostar from St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord followed by a local train to Cosne. A few members travelled separately in their cars.
The group was met by the Friends of Harpenden hosts who welcomed them into their homes.
Highlights of there trip included a visit to Fontainebleau, the local market, a lunch by the River Loire, wine tasting at a local vineyard and a Mayoral greeting at the mairie.
Everyone in the group said how much they enjoyed the trip and the company of their French hosts. Particular thanks to Kristina and Bernadette for organising the trip.
